Join our team of volunteers and learn how to become a bat ambulance driver. Ambulance drivers take calls from members of the public who have found a bat either injured or grounded. It is their job to advise the caller on containment and possible release or to collect the bat if injured and bring to a bat carer.
The workshop will cover:
- Health and safety
- Bat Handling
- Bat First Aid
- Containment
- Communicating with the public
- Assessing roost potential (so that the record can be passed to a roost visitor)
