We need you to survey your local area this summer! Join us for a free training session to learn how to survey for five bat species. There are two training course organised in Northern Ireland; one course in Creggan Country Park and the other in Cultra. Each training consists of a 1.5 hour presentation, a one hour discussion of sites and a visit to a local waterway to demonstrate the survey method. Wear suitable clothing for night time outdoor work and sturdy footwear. Bring a torch and a bat detector if you have the use of one. Anybody with some bat survey experience is welcome. This event is being organised in collaboration with Bat Conservation Ireland.
Full details of these courses and other events can be found in our events pages. If you’d like to attend please let the organisers know on the BATLAS 2020 Facebook events page or email Emma Boston.
